Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing property leasing activities, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to prospective tenants. This role requires strong negotiation skills, a solid understanding of landlord-tenant law, and the ability to effectively manage conflicts. Responsibilities

  • Conduct property showings and assist prospective tenants in the leasing process
  • Manage lease agreements and ensure compliance with legal requirements, including Fair Housing regulations
  • Utilize property management software such as Yardi and OneSite for data entry and customer relationship management
  • Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, applications, and contracts
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant inquiries and resolving issues promptly
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure properties are well-maintained and meet tenant expectations
  • Upsell available units and amenities to potential tenants to maximize occupancy rates
  • Stay informed about local rental market trends and competitor offerings
  • Assist in the administration of Section 8 housing programs as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is preferred
  • Knowledge of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations is essential
  • Strong sales skills with a track record of successful negotiations
  • Excellent conflict management abilities to handle tenant disputes effectively
  • Proficient in office tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized records
  • Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients
  • Experience with facilities management or property maintenance is beneficial
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
