PING, Inc., maker of PING golf equipment, is seeking a Product Developer that will be responsible for the development process primarily for soft goods accessories and apparel. The Product Developer works with suppliers to ensure products are created to specification and delivered on time. Creating and maintaining development schedules for all products is essential. Internally, the Product Developer will work with designers, product coordinators, and purchasing agents to bring products to the marketplace. The Product Developer ensures that design, quality, delivery, and target cost goals have been met. This position requires the candidate to reside in the Phoenix Metro Area, relocation assistance will be provided.

YOU WILL:

  • Manage assigned projects to ensure all project-related deliverables and approvals are completed in a manner that supports a successful on-time product launch. This includes, but is not limited to, creating and maintaining product development schedules to insure on time delivery; creating and managing a development schedule for designers and suppliers; creating and maintaining production documents that assure proper manufacturing; as well as assigning and managing the completion of all other project-related deliverables completed by other resources within and outside the Department.
  • Interface and coordinate with all applicable disciplines, both within Soft Goods and the Company, which is typically (but not limited to): Soft Goods Design, Marketing, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Safety/Environmental, A&T and QA.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all soft good accessories and apparel related external supplier communication necessary to support the development of all project components.
  • Work with various suppliers to improve overall supplier capabilities in support of innovation.
  • Manage sales sampling and work closely with Product Coordinators/Managers to ensure proper information for marketing materials, i.e. catalogs, hang tags, website content.
  • Create and manage color, fabric, trim, and sample libraries.
  • Be responsible for understanding, following, and supporting all pertinent company and departmental policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Build upon the internal knowledge base, specifically as it applies to key process related items that will aid designers and engineers in improving their ability to design for manufacturability.
  • Work with Quality Assurance to ensure products are manufactured and assembled within specifications.
  • Work with A&T or third-party vendors to ensure proper material and durability testing is completed.
  • Be available to schedule and attend conference calls with suppliers in different time zones outside of normal business hours.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel will be required.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Design Studies from a properly accredited college or university; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Should possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and team skills with the ability to gain consensus.
  • Ability to manage, focus and lead small and medium cross-disciplinary business meetings.
  • Ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
  • Possess an intermediate level of knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (TEAMS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and working knowledge of MS SharePoint. Proficient skills using Adobe Creative Suite software.
  • Should possess a familiarity with the PING product line, the game of golf and the Golf Industry.
