Key job responsibilities

About the team
Within ITA, the Hiring Intelligence, Science & Experimentation (HIRISE) team leverages Agentic AI and data analytics to revolutionize hiring through interactive, personalized assessments and intelligent chat-based systems. Our AI-powered web products transform recruitment by providing real-time insights, detecting patterns, and surfacing hiring anomalies through natural language queries. Rooted in simplicity, scalability, and sustainability, HIRISE serves as ITA's central intelligence hub, enabling global stakeholders to make data-driven decisions. Our innovative solutions combine traditional evaluation methods with conversational AI to create effective recruiting processes while predicting hiring trends. Working at the convergence of artificial intelligence and talent acquisition, you'll develop adaptive systems that scale with business growth, experiment with cutting-edge AI technologies, and deliver exponential value through intelligent automation and insights.

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
