As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all nursing activities within our Skilled Nursing Unit to ensure the delivery of exceptionally high-quality care to our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure efficient and effective patient care
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a positive work environment
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement resident care plans
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and coaching as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including resident rights, HIPAA, and other applicable laws and regulations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all residents
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes
  • Stay current with advancements in nursing practices and technologies

Requirements

  • Connecticut Registered nurse (RN)
  • Prior Long Term Care Director of Nursing experience required
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills
