Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Class A CDL Instructor to lead the next generation of professional truck drivers. Your expertise will empower students to confidently operate tractor-trailers while adhering to all safety regulations and industry standards. Duties

  • Deliver engaging classroom instruction on topics such as air brake systems, tanker operations, and commercial driving regulations
  • Conduct hands-on training sessions for students in tractor-trailer operation, focusing on safe driving techniques and vehicle control
  • Evaluate student performance through practical driving assessments and provide constructive feedback for improvement
  • Prepare and maintain detailed training records, including progress reports and compliance documentation
  • Stay current with industry regulations, including updates related to air brake endorsements, tanker hauling requirements, and other CDL standards
  • Foster a positive learning environment that motivates students and encourages professional growth
  • Assist students in preparing for their CDL licensing exams by reviewing key concepts and conducting practice tests

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with necessary endorsements such as air brake and tanker certifications
  • Proven experience in commercial trucking, including tractor-trailer operation and safety procedures
  • Prior teaching or adult education experience preferred, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
  • Strong classroom management skills with a passion for mentoring aspiring drivers
  • Knowledge of federal and state CDL regulations and testing requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt teaching methods to diverse learner needs
