Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic, providing exceptional support to both the dental staff and patients. This position requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.

Duties

  • Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a sterile and efficient environment.
  • Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for examinations and treatments.
  • Manage patient records accurately, including medical history and treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing medical records.
  • Support the front desk as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
  • Stay updated on medical terminology and dental procedures .

Experience

  • Previous experience in a dental clinic or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices is beneficial.
  • Experience with dental receptionist duties is a plus; but not required.
  • Understanding of general dentistry principles and procedures is essential.
  • Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of dentistry is highly valued.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
