What You'll Do:
As the Talent Operations Associate, you'll play an essential support role in helping our Talent team run smoothly and efficiently. This position is anchored on execution and operations – making sure our talent processes, systems, and events run with precision and excellence.

You'll own logistics for Sapphire's talent events, help streamline internal databases and processes, and drive outbound outreach as we continue building executive pipelines. You'll be a key part of keeping our programs and processes running seamlessly, allowing the team to focus on building meaningful connections across our ecosystem.

This is a great entry point into the venture capital talent ecosystem for someone who is curious, highly organized, and eager to learn.

 Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Event ownership: Help plan and execute Sapphire's talent events end-to-end (budgeting, venue research, vendor management, guest communications, executive invite curation, and post-event follow-ups).
  • Program operations and internal systems: Maintain and improve our talent databases and systems to ensure data is accurate, current, and actionable.
  • Outbound execution: Support targeted outreach campaigns to senior executives and rising leaders, helping to keep our talent ecosystem engaged and growing.
  • Process efficiencies: Help capture and track data across talent processes, ensuring reporting and metrics are streamlined.
  • Cross-team collaboration: Partner with investors and portfolio leaders to support key hiring needs with research, outreach, or operational support.
  • Special projects: Take on projects such as vendor/partner management, updating internal resources, and supporting DEIB initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

  • 3–5 years of experience in a role with outbound responsibilities (could be recruitment coordination, talent sourcing, SDR/business development, event management, program operations, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage logistics, juggle multiple priorities, and execute with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable doing outreach (email campaigns, scheduling follow-ups) alongside interfacing and engaging with executives.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a knack for keeping internal/backend systems and processes clean and efficient.
  • Proficiency with recruiting/sourcing tools and databases (e.g. Affinity)
  • Self-starter - proactive by nature, comfortable navigating ambiguity and coming up with creative solutions.
  • Roll-up-your-sleeves mentality – you do what it takes to get things done and support the team.
  • Collaborative, curious, and a willingness to get things done efficiently and with precision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Personal Qualifications
Culture is core to who we are. We look for people who share our values and help strengthen the way we work together:

  • Team Player - Thrives in a collaborative environment, values different perspectives, and knows that great outcomes come from shared wins
  • Dedicated to Winning - Approaches challenges with grit, accountability, and a bias for action. Comfortable taking smart risks in pursuit of excellence

  • Authentic Relationships - Believes relationships are built on trust, respect, and genuine connection; invests in people for the long term.
  • Excellence - Takes pride in doing great work, pays attention to detail, and consistently strives to raise the bar

Every day our team is honored to work with entrepreneurs and innovators from various backgrounds, and we aim to build a team that reflects the diversity of our portfolio.
