About Nox Health

Simply put, we believe in the power of sleep.

As sleep health champions, we want more and more people to wake up to a brighter day every day. And, we are making daily progress, as we help more organizations see sleep as transformational and a foundational pillar of health. We strive to give more access to the technology and care they need to lead fuller lives.

Our depth of knowledge in the science of sleep gives us a unique perspective on sleep as a critical intervention strategy in chronic disease. We help people see the right problem and the right way forward, elevating not just our solutions but also advancing the field of sleep medicine.

Our vision is to work with our partners — employers, health systems, health plans, government agencies, provider groups and others committed to transforming care — to expand sleep health care to where it is needed, so it can take its rightful place in the healthcare ecosystem.

About the role

The Director of Finance & Accounting reports to the CFO of Nox Medical and serves as a senior financial leader for Nox Medical / Diagnostic Solutions in North America, with responsibility for the finance and accounting functions in both Nox Medical US and Nox Medical Canada.

This role provides strategic, operational, and financial leadership for all aspects of accounting, reporting, and financial planning within the Diagnostic Solutions division in North America. The Director is accountable for ensuring strong financial governance, accurate and timely reporting, adherence to US GAAP and relevant international standards, and delivering insights that drive business growth and operational efficiency.

In addition, the Director partners with commercial and operational teams to strengthen processes that support sales effectiveness, order fulfillment, and customer delivery. The role plays a critical part in building financial systems and workflows that improve the efficiency of commercial teams, reduce friction in sales-to-cash processes, and enable scalable growth for both traditional product sales and new SaaS-based revenue models.

What you'll do

Commercial & Operational Support

  • Partner with commercial and sales fulfillment teams to improve processes around billing, collections, and related financial processes that directly support the customer experience and commercial efficiency
  • Maintain and design financial systems and procedures that reduce administrative burden and increase efficiency for commercial teams
  • Provide operational support to sales leaders by embedding financial processes into contract execution, fulfillment, and post-sales support
  • Support SaaS and recurring-revenue lines by ensuring scalable billing, revenue recognition, and reporting processes
  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain to strengthen financial oversight of inventory management and sales fulfillment

Controllership & Compliance

  • Responsible for the core accounting functions, including general ledger, chart of accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, intercompany consolidations, and internal controls
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and maintain accuracy across the trial balance, income statement, and balance sheet
  • Oversee monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting
  • Evaluate and maintain the chart of accounts and cost/profit center design for appropriateness and accuracy
  • Oversee bank reconciliations, asset capitalization, and depreciation/amortization schedules in accordance with relevant accounting standards
  • Take ownership of accounts receivable collections by ensuring disciplined AR management, maintaining an accurate receivables ledger, and building effective processes that support timely collections and reduction of risk
  • Reconcile intercompany receivables and payables, ensuring proper eliminations during monthly consolidation
  • Partner with business units on accounting implications of business decisions to ensure accurate and transparent reporting
  • Coordinate with external auditors as needed, ensuring timely support for audits, resolution of findings, and tie-outs to audited financial statements.
  • Oversee tax compliance and reporting, coordinating with external advisors to optimize use of applicable tax codes (sales, property, franchise, real estate, use tax)
  • Provide guidance on sales tax requirements and compliance, ensuring alignment with sales processes and contracts

Systems, Processes & Collaboration

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance finance systems infrastructure, ensuring ERP and reporting platforms support business scalability, automation, and accuracy
  • Build, document, and optimize financial and operational processes to strengthen internal controls, improve efficiency, and support cross-functional execution
  • Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and supply chain teams to integrate finance into end-to-end processes from sales to fulfillment
  • Work with global Nox Health finance leaders to ensure consistency of standards, governance, and best practices across entities
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for system upgrades, process automation, and cross-department collaboration

Qualifications

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Chartered Accountant designation strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with demonstrated leadership in both controllership and operational finance roles
  • Strong expertise in US GAAP
  • Experience improving sales support processes, including billing, collections, and fulfillment integration
  • Knowledge and experience building financial processes for SaaS/subscription-based business models.
  • Experience in inventory management and sales tax compliance
  • Track record of leading audits, managing external reporting, and ensuring tax compliance
  • Proven ability to manage ERP and reporting systems, with a focus on automation and scalability
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or similar ERP platforms) is a strong plus
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across finance, sales, operations, and executive leadership teams
  • A balance of strategic foresight, operational discipline, and detail orientation
