About the Role
We're looking for a motivated Account Executive who thrives on building relationships, winning business, and managing projects from start to finish.
This is not a "quote and hope" sales position — it's a full-cycle role where you'll prospect, close, and manage your own jobs through design, permitting, production, and installation. You'll be the main point of contact for your customers, ensuring every project is completed on time and up to Signs By G standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business
- Engage with clients to understand their signage needs and present appropriate solutions
- Build relationships with architects, general contractors, and property managers
- Set and attend meetings with construction and design professionals
- Maintain strong, ongoing relationships through clear communication and proactive updates
- Collaborate with internal teams — design, permitting, production, and installation — to keep projects on schedule
- Serve as the project manager for your jobs from cradle to grave, ensuring smooth handoffs between departments
- Keep clients informed throughout the process, managing expectations and timelines
Qualifications
- Signage experience is a major plus
- Construction sales experience is a major plus
- Proven success in sales, business development, or account management
- Excellent communication, follow-up, and organization skills
- Comfortable cold-calling, visiting businesses, and building new relationships
- Strong negotiation and closing ability
- Tech-savvy; comfortable with CRMs, spreadsheets, and digital tools
- Driven, dependable, and results-oriented
Compensation
We're flexible with structure — either:
- High commissions / no base, or
- Base salary + lower commission, depending on experience and performance history
