Mechanical Assembler

Essential Job Functions and Required Skills:
- Ability to assembly components by hand
- Ability to operate a robot to dispense adhesive and assemble product
- Ability to use basic mechanical assembly tools including torque drivers
- Quality and defect inspection: Ability to inspect circuit boards and assemblies throughout the prototype and production process for manufacturing defects using tools such as microscopes, calipers, etc.
- Very high attention to detail
- Ability to read, interpret and accurately follow written work instructions, shop traveler, assembly drawings, bill of materials, safety guidelines and other documents
- Basic math skills
- Ability to keep records of production quantities
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a seated or standing position for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift heavy objects on occasion
- Good communication skills
- Ability to learn new tools, instrumentation, and calibration equipment
- Maintain a positive, cooperative, and respectful relationship with all coworkers
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
Preferred Skills:
· Familiarity with proper electronic component handling practices
· Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality standards
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
· High school education or general education degree (GED)
Physical / Environmental Requirements:
This position requires the incumbent to be able to push, pull and lift 10 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 40lbs. periodically. During an 8-hour work day the incumbent could be standing constantly with periodic sitting. Must have visual acuity for inspection.
