As a Machine Lubrication Technician reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the correct and timely lubrication of all equipment on site while maintaining high levels of quality, safety, and environmental awareness within the department.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7am - 4pm & Friday 7am - 1pm.

Starting pay: $23.25/hour

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.

  • Follow the schedule of lubrication as provided in the system, and update the information at the specified intervals.
  • Operate as a member of a team in the Maintenance Department helping to achieve optimum plant utilization and efficiency.
  • Maintain oil and grease stock levels at an acceptable level.
  • Complete mechanical SAP reports detailing daily tasks performed and shift reports at the end of every shift.
  • Ensure that all operation and related tasks are conducted in a safe working manner and all incidents/accidents/hazards are reported immediately.
  • Ensure all safety precautions are taken and safety equipment is in good order and used at all times.Inform the Mechanical Supervisor as to the condition of the mechanical/electrical equipment and production problems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in reliability techniques & knowledge of lubrication principles is an asset.
  • Strong, demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with lubrication of machines preferably in a manufacturing environment.

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Technical – mechanical proficiency.
  • Problem-Solving – troubleshooting, analytical thinking.
  • Safety Awareness – safety protocols, hazard identification.
  • Communication – team collaboration, documentation.
  • Organizational – time management, attention to detail.

SCHEDULE DEMANDS

  • General schedule is a Monday - Thursday 7am - 4pm & Friday 7am - 1pm assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
  • Must be willing to work occasional overtime as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 10-hours.
  • Occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
  • Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
  • Ability to work at heights in a manufacturing environment required.
