Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Associate with forklift operation skills to join our dynamic logistics team. This role involves handling materials, operating heavy equipment, and supporting efficient warehouse distribution processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, experience with various types of heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety standards such as OSHA regulations. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and mechanical aptitude are essential.

Duties

  • Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of materials during transportation within the warehouse
  • Pick and pack orders accurately using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
  • Assist with order picking, shipping, and receiving processes to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly
  • Support materials handling activities including heavy lifting and moving items to designated locations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to OSHA safety standards
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors on inventory management and workflow improvements
  • Assist in the operation of construction-related or heavy machinery as needed for special projects

Experience

  • Proven warehouse distribution experience with familiarity in order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling
  • Valid forklift certification with hands-on experience operating forklifts, crane, clamp truck, and other heavy equipment
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order processing
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use
  • Mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues
  • Prior experience in construction or similar environments involving heavy lifting or machinery operation is a plus
  • Warehouse supervisor experience or roles involving team coordination are advantageous

This position requires candidates to demonstrate proficiency in heavy equipment operation, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and the flexibility to support various warehouse functions efficiently.

Pay: $ $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
