Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to support our bustling nightclub and hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will assist bartenders and staff by maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and ensuring a smooth operation during busy night hours. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly within a vibrant nightlife setting. Previous experience in food service, catering, or hospitality is preferred, but a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills are essential. The position involves working primarily during night shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders by restocking alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and glassware efficiently throughout the shift
• Maintain cleanliness of bar area, including cleaning glasses, utensils, and surfaces to uphold health standards
• Support food preparation tasks as needed, including handling light food prep or plating for events or service areas
• Buss tables and clear empty glasses or dishes from customer areas promptly to ensure a clean environment
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions when required
• Help with setup and breakdown of event spaces for banquets or private functions within the venue
• Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are followed according to industry standards
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service flow and address guest needs promptly

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hospitality environments is highly desirable
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Experience with food handling, bussing, or serving in a nightclub or banquet setting is advantageous
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures relevant to food and beverage service areas
• Ability to work night shifts including weekends and holidays; flexibility is essential
• Customer service orientation with a positive attitude and team spirit
• Prior kitchen experience or hotel experience can be beneficial but not required
