Environmental Test Technician

We are looking for a hands-on Environmental Test Technician with direct experience executing vibration and thermal vacuum (TVAC) tests on aerospace or high-reliability hardware.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and execute vibration tests (sine, random, shock) on shaker tables (LDS, Unholtz-Dickey, Sentek, or Data Physics preferred).
  • Connect and calibrate accelerometers and data acquisition (DAQ) systems.
  • Monitor test data in real time; troubleshoot anomalies such as signal loss or sensor connection issues.
  • Perform thermal vacuum (TVAC) testing using systems such as Tenney or equivalent chambers.
  • Work closely with design and test engineers to ensure accurate execution of qualification and acceptance tests.
  • Document results, create plots, and prepare concise test reports.
  • Support facility and equipment readiness through routine maintenance and calibration checks.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of environmental or vibration test experience (aerospace, defense, or automotive strongly preferred).
  • Proven experience running shaker table tests and using accelerometers/DAQ equipment.
  • Familiarity with vibration and thermal standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-1540, or equivalent).
  • Ability to read and follow test plans and procedures accurately.
  • Strong troubleshooting and hands-on problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior TVAC testing experience using Tenney or similar systems.
  • Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, or Python for test automation or data analysis.
  • Previous work in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • If entry-level: degree from a top engineering program (e.g., Embry-Riddle) with direct lab or test execution experience.

Pay: $60, $80,000.00 per year
