About this Role:

As a Business Operations Manager, you will be part of a tight-knit team that serves as the post-sales operational control point for our clients' daily on-platform activities. You'll be responsible for working with our clients to ensure safe and accurate movement of funds - verifying that payments are properly disbursed, monitoring reconciliation balances, and ensuring that compliance activity is tracked with precision. This role combines meticulous knowledge of daily treasury operations with client-facing support, proactive issue resolution, and regular communication with clients, both remotely and on-site.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in financial services operations, a track record of rigorous monitoring of fund movements, a keen ability to identify discrepancies, a passion for building relationships, and a track record of demonstrating initiative to provide genuine value to clients, rather than passively responding to issues as they arise.

What You'll Do:

  • You will become a trusted advisor to our clients, deeply understand their business and needs, and help them maximize the value they get from Hudson
  • Maintain daily operational oversight of fund movements across the platform, working with clients to perform detailed reconciliation to ensure funds are appropriately safeguarded and payments are accurately disbursed
  • Conduct systematic exception handling and discrepancy investigation, identifying and resolving any anomalies in payment processing, fund transfers, or account balances before they impact operations
  • Manage support ticket triage and provide Tier 1 platform support for client inquiries related to treasury operations, payment processing, and other platform functionality
  • Escalate complex technical issues to the engineering team with thorough documentation, context, and urgency assessment based on business impact
  • Work with clients in-person and remotely, handling onboarding, providing user training, gathering requirements for new feature requests, and conducting status meetings
  • Build strong relationships with client treasury, operations, compliance, and finance teams to understand their workflows and serve as their trusted operational partner
  • Recommend system improvements and process optimizations based on recurring patterns, operational risks, and client feedback

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in a client-facing role in financial services operations with demonstrated responsibility for treasury management, fund movements, reconciliation, or payment processing
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce products, including CRM, Analytics, and Voice
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a track record of maintaining accurate financial records and catching discrepancies in high-volume environments
  • Strong business sense and understanding of the underlying drivers and strategy of our client's businesses
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles (e.g., reconciliation, ledgering, credits/debits, general ledger operations) and standard payment protocols (e.g., ACH, wires, checks, etc.)
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical and financial concepts into clear, actionable guidance for clients at all levels
  • Proactive problem solver who can identify operational risks, troubleshoot issues systematically, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve concerns quickly
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and can work well with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally, while managing multiple projects or engagements
  • Naturally curious and stays up to date with emerging fintech trends, payment innovations, and regulatory developments
  • Highly organized with a professional demeanor and commitment to operational excellence
  • Located within a reasonable commute distance of our Midtown Manhattan location, with the ability to work in the office with regular frequency
  • Comfortable with domestic travel to client sites and able to manage personal schedule around travel commitments

Bonus Points:

  • Working knowledge of the Atlassian Suite of products (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Salesforce Administrator certification or similar
  • A degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
  • Previous experience working at startups or high-paced, high-change environments
  • Familiarity with risk, compliance, and other complexities common to the Finance industry
  • Developing and applying AI tools to enhance daily operational activities
