Position Summary:

The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for GUD Essence's initiatives and projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grant writing, nonprofit funding, and a passion for supporting the growth and sustainability of the cannabis industry. This role will be integral in supporting our mission to develop programs that improve the lives of our customers and community.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • At least 3 years of experience in grant writing, with a proven track record of securing funding.
  • Strong writing, editing, and research skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Knowledge of cannabis industry trends and regulatory landscape is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough research to identify grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and private donors.
  • Analyze grant guidelines and ensure alignment with company objectives.

Grant Writing & Submissions:

  • Write clear, compelling, and persuasive grant proposals for various funding opportunities.
  • Prepare and submit all necessary documents and reports related to grants.
  • Ensure that proposals are submitted on time and meet all requirements.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with internal teams (including leadership, finance, and program managers) to gather necessary information and support grant applications.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on grant application strategies and approaches.

Grant Reporting & Tracking:

- Track and report on the progress of submitted grants. - Ensure compliance with all reporting requirements and deadlines for awarded grants.

Relationship Management:

- Develop and maintain positive relationships with grant-making organizations. - Represent GUD Essence in communications with funding agencies and partners.
