Environmental Service Associate

JOB DESCRIPTION

Capitol View Transitional Care Center is a state-of-the-art true transitional care unit (TCU) located in Regions Hospital (we are part of the HealthPartners organization as a separate nonprofit organization.) We provide quality care to patients from 18+ years of age who are in need of a short-term stay. Our average length of stay is 17 days. As an Environmental Service Associate, you will be responsible for the following job duties and responsibilities:

• Provide a clean and safe environment for patients to receive care and staff to provide care.
• Clean, sanitize and empty trash in hallways, patient rooms, breakrooms, and offices.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold and deliver all patient personal laundry daily.
• Maintain housekeeping chemicals in their appropriate storage areas.
• Report all facility repairs to Maintenance upon observation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

FTE: 0.8; 32 hours per week

Work Schedule: 830am-5pm; Shifts Monday-Friday will be scheduled based on business needs; Required to work every other weekend

Salary: Starting rate at $18.69/hour. Pay rate is based off previous housekeeping/custodial work experience.

• Must to be able to read, speak and understand English clearly

Benefits are available for non-union staff working 24 hours (0.6 FTE) or union staff working 30 hours (0.75 FTE) per week and are effective the first of the month after 30 days of employment.
