In this role, you will serve as the Technical Lead, responsible for all technical aspects of a $13.4M contract supporting critical Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) with global impact and leading a high performing team of industry-leading engineers performing software integration, operations, cybersecurity engineering, and providing thought leadership to shape the future. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background across a wide range of technology in hands-on roles, experience managing teams in a DoD contracting setting. This is an exclusive opportunity to engineer solutions for unique challenges in mostly unclassified spaces in support of our warfighters.Duties and Responsibilities:Lead and personally perform cybersecurity related engineering tasks as appropriate, including hands-on development.Plan and allocate resources, estimate staffing needs, coordinate activities, and engage with key stakeholders to ensure project success.Conduct research and evaluate technical analysis with specific emphasis on network and cyber operations Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) focused on the threat to networked space and cyberspace platforms and U.S. DoD information networks.Collaborate and coordinate with relevant stakeholders throughout the company to ensure technology controls and standards are well understood and consistently applied.Lead our technical team who reside in several places around the country with a large concentration in Columbia, MD.Partner with internal teams to deliver technical demonstrations and showcase SealingTech capabilities to customers.Identify high-level functional and technical requirements based on interactions with the user community and knowledge of the existing DoD enterprise architecture.Minimum Qualifications:8-15 years of hands-on experience in systems engineering:Systems architecture (Windows, Linux, ESXi)Network security architectureSoftware developmentNetworkingVirtualizationDCO within any Service Cyber Command elements or other Government organizationsDomain Knowledge:At least 5 years of experience with current defensive cyberspace TTPsKnowledge and background with key cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and methodologiesKnowledge and experience with network protocols, virtualization, architecture design, and defense in depth practicesPossess basic theory and operational concepts for infrastructure security and hardening processes, techniques, and best practicesExperience using automation tools (Ansible, Python, Scripting, etc.)Well-versed in virtualization technologies, virtualization management (vCenter, Kubernetes, etc.) and virtual machine and container deployment and configurationUnderstanding of the function and operation of Defensive Cyber tools, including Splunk, Elastic, Zeek, Palo Alto, RedSeal, VMware, and othersLeadership & Technical Management:Experience with Agile project management using tools such as Jira.Knowledge of best practices in the realm of security patching, authentication, and log retention.Experience working within a security framework for compliance and auditing.Proven experience managing teams of at least 5 personnel.Proven experience managing technical solutions to federal government (preferably DoD) of a value of at least $25MGeneral Requirements:Proven experience collecting requirements from the customer and producing a working solution.Proven experience working in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment (if you need to start the day knowing how your day will end, this is not the position for you).Ability to research new technical concepts and quickly generate ideas on how its use could improve mission.Organized, able to manage competing priorities with attention to detail.The ability to work directly with a highly technical customer and provide expert customer service.The ability to successfully work with people with a variety of skill levels and backgrounds.Proven ability to write, document, and maintain processes and procedures related to architecture changes, engineering efforts, and security compliance.Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technology fieldAbility to obtain a Secret security clearanceMust have an active driver's license and clean driving recordU.S. CitizenshipAbility to travel within the United States < 10% of the time.Preferred Qualifications:Active Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) CertificationMaster's Degree in Computer Science or related fieldHands-on experience with computer forensics and/or penetration testing
