In the role of Water/Wastewater EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you to: 

• Create detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment systems, distribution systems, and collection systems under instructions from a Professional Engineer.
• Perform engineering process design, including equipment sizing and selection.
• Model piping system layouts.
• Prepare analyses and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and collection systems; determine appropriate design methods; and work directly with facility Owners.
• Prepare drawings and specifications for water and wastewater treatment systems, distribution systems, and collection systems.
• Prepare piping diagrams, composite piping plans, equipment arrangements, piping isometrics, and other detailed drawings in various software platforms.
• Coordinate the work of engineers, technicians, and others on multi-discipline project teams throughout the projects' development and execution.
• Assist with the administration of construction contracts and startup of wastewater treatment plants, water treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, and related facilities.
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
• Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
• Software knowledge: Revit, Civil 3D.
• Previous experience with an architectural or engineering consulting firm.
• Interest or experience in municipal water and wastewater systems planning and design.
• Active interest in learning engineering disciplines assigned and growing into a senior designer.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively with a project team to achieve completion of tasks and projects.
• Hydraulic modeling software experience.
• Design/drafting experience.
• Preference given to local candidates.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
• Interest or experience analyzing and designing water focused systems
• Experience with production, simulation, and automation such as BIM systems, numerical modeling platforms, and other production tools
• Microsoft Office experience
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
