Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration as directed by the care plan
- Monitor and document client health status, including vital signs and behavioral changes
- Prepare nutritious meals based on dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and laundry, to maintain a safe environment
- Follow individualized care plans while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
- Safely use transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts and gait belts
- Observe and report changes in condition to supervisors or family members
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social and recreational activities
- Follow all safety protocols, including CPR and First Aid procedures
Skills & Qualifications
- Caregiver or CNA experience preferred but not required (paid training provided)
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, hospice, or disability care is a plus
- Ability to accurately monitor clients, take vital signs, and assist with medications
- Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality standards
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude
- Ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist clients as needed
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience working with individualized care plans is highly desirable
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check
- TB test required prior to start of employment (or proof of recent negative result)
