The Stamford JCC is seeking a creative and digitally-savvy Marketing Associate with a genuine passion for content creation, technology, marketing, social media, and email marketing. This role will be instrumental in building community engagement, driving program registrations, and enhancing the JCC's brand presence across digital platforms. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic self-starter with strong writing skills, social media expertise, and a commitment to community-building.

Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site

Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000 annually

Reports To: Senior Director of Marketing and Communications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Email Marketing & List Management

  • Develop, design, and execute email marketing campaigns to promote JCC programs, events, membership, and fundraising initiatives
  • Segment email lists based on member demographics, interests, program participation, and engagement history to deliver targeted, personalized messaging
  • Manage email marketing calendar and coordinate with program directors to ensure timely campaign delivery
  • Monitor email performance metrics (open rates, click rates, conversions) and provide regular reports with recommendations for optimization
  • Maintain subscriber database, manage list hygiene, and ensure compliance with email marketing best practices
  • Create compelling email copy and design using email marketing platforms (Mailchimp or similar)

Social Media Management & Content Creation

  • Manage and maintain the JCC's social media presence across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms
  • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content including graphics, photos, videos, and written posts that align with the JCC's voice and mission
  • Develop and maintain monthly social media content calendar in coordination with organizational priorities
  • Monitor social channels for community engagement, respond to comments and messages in a timely manner
  • Track social media analytics and provide insights to inform content strategy and maximize reach and engagement
  • Capture event photography and videography to create authentic, compelling content that showcases JCC programs

Content Creation & Copywriting

  • Write clear, engaging copy for digital platforms including email, social media, website updates, and promotional materials
  • Collaborate with program staff to translate program information into compelling marketing messages
  • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing communications and channels

Marketing Support & Collaboration

  • Support integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels to drive program enrollment and membership growth
  • Assist with website content updates and ensure information accuracy across digital platforms
  • Participate in marketing team meetings and contribute creative ideas for campaigns and community engagement
  • Support special events with marketing materials, social media coverage, and on-site promotional needs

Position Requirement

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in digital marketing, social media management, or email marketing
  • Demonstrated passion for content creation, technology, marketing, social media, and email marketing
  • Proven experience creating engaging social media content and managing multiple social platforms
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficiency with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot, or similar)
  • Experience with social media management tools and scheduling platforms
  • Working knowledge of design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with analytics tools including Google Analytics, Meta Insights, and email marketing metrics
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
