About the role:

This role will focused on supporting Molding operations in Arden Hills. Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, preventative maintenance, as well as performing quality testing. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of taking direction and delivering results with little supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn new skills and work closely with manufacturing engineers to complete tasks such as new equipment evaluation forms, equipment procedures, process change analyses, validation support, etc.

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows an onsite work model, requiring employees to be in our local office five days per week.

Your responsibilities will include: Observes and complies with all safety rules and regulations.Identify and troubleshoot process, material or equipment problems to minimize down timeIdentifies and implements corrective actions for various manufacturing related issuesRegularly completes scheduled/preventive and calibration maintenanceRoutinely responds & executes equipment maintenance and/or coordinates with outside contractorsInstalls and validates equipment and processes in the production area to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time following the established validation procedure.Evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.  May develop or revise documents and procedures.Evaluates and orders necessary equipment, tools, and fixtures.Train and provide technical support or direction to product builders and other techniciansModify existing and develop new tooling and fixtures as necessaryWork with other technicians and engineers on process improvementsAdditional duties as required

Required qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience with a high school degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience

Preferred qualifications:

Injection molding process/equipment maintenance experienceBasic understanding of medical device documentation requirementsMedical Device regulation experienceExperience in molding manufacturing and molding equipment troubleshootingProven record of working closely and successfully with manufacturing and process development engineersComfortable reading electrical schematics and part drawingsGreat attitude and strong desire to learn new skillsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experienceSoftware Debugging knowledgePreventive Maintenance experience

Maximum Salary: $ 71552 

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see —will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
