Summary/Objectives:
The Front-End Developer will combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include creation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. Work with the team to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works. This will include applications for web, iOS, and Android devices
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Develop software solutions by studying multifaceted requirements, investigating problem areas, and following the software development lifecycle.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use while optimize application for speed, flexibility, and scalability.
- Consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality at assigned work location.
- Develop new user-facing features while assuring that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end.
- Leverage team input to create UX/UI designs to build modern interfaces.
- Follow industry best-practices for secure design and development.
- Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, participating in educational opportunities, including reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
- Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
- Support and develop software developers by providing advice, coaching, & educational opportunities
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
- Perform occasional quality assurance reviews of code and approve for release.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
Required:
- Experience with largely deployed mobile applications is required.
- 3+ years' experience with Internet of Things (IoT) solutions
- Strong knowledge of the software development life-cycle, data structures, & software architecture
- A desire to work in fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field highly preferred but not required
- Experience with the following technology stacks:
- Swift, SwiftUI
- Android
- Kotlin
- React
- TypeScript
- JavaScript
Preferred:
- Experience with the following technology stacks preferred:
- Vite
- C/C++ embedded
- BLE (CoreBluetooth, Android BLE)
- USB/Serial communications (WebSerial, FelHR)

- Sitting for periods of time. Frequent periods of standing and walking. Lifting up to 25lbs unassisted and occasionally lift and/or move heavier items utilizing a team lift.
- Repetitive use of hands/motion and have manual dexterity, finger dexterity, and multi-limb coordination.
- Use of appropriate personal protective equipment, when required.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: General office environment that is climate controlled; Production area is not. Will be required to visit production area regularly and may be exposed to airborne contaminants, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Safety glasses and safety-toe footwear may be required to be worn. The noise level may exceed permissible exposure limit and hearing protection may be required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full-Time – 9/80 Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00AM – 5:00PM or 6:30AM – 4:30PM. May require overtime based on business needs.
** sign on bonus after 90 days for employees that are new to Pelco Solutions.
9/80 7-5 M-Th, 7-4 on every-other Friday.
