Digital Marketing Manager (Email)

Are you a strategic email marketing leader with a passion for personalization, performance, and platform innovation? Merrick Bank is looking for a Manager, Email Marketing to lead the charge in delivering high-impact campaigns that engage customers across the credit card lifecycle.

As a key member of our Digital Marketing team, you'll own the end-to-end execution of email and SMS campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and cutting-edge MarTech tools. From journey mapping to A/B testing, you'll drive engagement, optimize performance, and elevate the customer experience.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Campaign Strategy & Execution: Design and deploy customer-facing email and SMS campaigns using SFMC, including automation workflows and triggered journeys.
  • Be the SFMC Expert: Leverage Journey Builder, Email Studio, Cloud Pages, Automation Studio, and Mobile Messaging to deliver personalized, data-driven campaigns.
  • Drive Optimization: Implement A/B testing to refine subject lines, creative content, and send-time strategies that boost engagement and conversion.
  • Champion Innovation: Collaborate with Salesforce and internal teams to apply platform best practices and explore new capabilities.
  • Scale Personalization: Integrate tools like Persado and Movable Ink to tailor messaging based on customer behavior and lifecycle stage.
  • Lead Platform Consolidation: Oversee the unification of multiple SFMC instances, including infrastructure alignment, IP warming, and asset migration.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with creative, compliance, marketing and analytics teams to develop compelling, compliant content.
  • Analyze & Report: Monitor campaign performance metrics (open rates, CTR, deliverability) and share actionable insights with stakeholders.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain list hygiene and safeguard data accuracy in line with CAN-SPAM and internal policies.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in email marketing, with a strong track record in strategy, execution, and optimization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio).
  • Hands-on experience with Litmus or similar testing platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into strategy.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for email customization.
  • Deep understanding of email deliverability and anti-spam regulations.
  • Experience in financial services, banking, insurance, or fintech preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM integration and data management platforms.
