Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant in our Advanced Treatment Center. The Medical Assistant is an integral part of our Advanced Treatment Center team. This position will be assisting providers and patients, phlebotomy, making charts and other back-office procedures. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workloads in a fast paced clinical setting.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
- Serve as primary advocate for the research participant. Complete regulatory documents.
- Organize storage and space requirements (records, study drug, specimen containers).
- Monitor and report adverse events.
- Coordinate scheduling research visit appointments and research team meetings.
- Perform research assessments, collect data, and confirm source documentation.
- Obtain required specimens and vital signs according to protocol.
- Oversee the accountability of the study drug and the research participant's compliance.
- Prepare site for monitoring visits or other mandated audits.
- Complete study documentation (case report forms, adverse events) in a timely manner in compliance with regulations.
- Maintain research record for each screened and enrolled research participant.
- Maintain regulatory binder.
- Provide education to the research participants and research team members.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with coding teams to address coding discrepancies and improve claim accuracy.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday through Friday (Dayshift)
Required Qualifications:
- Medical experience in Urology is a plus.
- Minimum of one year working in clinical physician office setting.
- Basic problem-solving decisions on established policies and procedures.
- Compliance with OSHA requirements and other regulatory/licensing agency.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
