School-Based Paraprofessional / Community Support Individuals
The COOL Program Counseling Services, LLC. is seeking to hire Mental Health clinicians for our Clayton County School-Based Program. The COOL Program is a Non-Intensive Outpatient Program (CORE) that provides mental health services to children and their families. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessionals to provide essential skills-building support to students in our School-Based Counseling Program. As a Paraprofessional, you will have the opportunity to work closely with students to help them develop key life skills such as communication, anger management, coping strategies, and self-esteem. You will also collaborate with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure that each student's educational and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide community support interventions for clients and their families primarily in school settings but also in homes and other locations where services are needed.
- Teach clients skills to improve day-to day functioning and overall well-being i.e. communication, anger management, self-esteem, stress reduction, work/study skills, etc.
- Advocate, explain and protect the rights of individuals and their families.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other stakeholders to ensure client's academic needs are met.
- Coordinate linkage to community and pro-social organizations to provide client's with opportunities to utilize skills learned in real-life situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- (Minimal) Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
- Ability to manage time, independently schedule appointments, and submit timely documentation.
- Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
