Business Development Director – Aviation

Job Summary
An experienced Business Development Director – Aviation is sought to expand presence in the American aviation aftermarket. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of industry experience, strong airline and end-user connections, and a proven track record in sales growth and relationship building. This role involves frequent travel (every 2–3 weeks) and offers a hybrid setup in Chicago, IL or remote flexibility for the right candidate.
Experience with AVsight and fluency in Spanish or Portuguese are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow new business with airlines and aviation end-users.
- Leverage industry connections to secure approvals and new accounts.
- Identify new revenue streams through parts programs, contracts, and consignment.
- Visit customers regularly and represent the company at trade shows and events.
- Manage key accounts, respond to RFQs, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Identify high-demand parts for trading and manage vendor relationships.
- Use market data and KPIs to guide strategy and performance improvements.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the aviation aftermarket industry.
- Proven ability to generate new business and secure supplier status.
- Strong relationship management, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Frequent travel (1 trip every 2–3 weeks).
- Experience with AVsight preferred.
- Spanish or Portuguese language skills a plus.
- Bachelor's degree preferred (not mandatory).
