Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and helping to create a positive shopping experience for our customers. You will engage with shoppers, assist them in finding products, and promote sales through effective communication and upselling techniques.

Duties

  • Greet customers as they enter the store and provide assistance as needed.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to customers.
  • Utilize upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase sales.
  • Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services offered in-store.
  • Ensure shelves are stocked and organized, managing inventory levels effectively.
  • Assist with restocking shelves and maintaining a clean and orderly store environment.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail or hardware store environments is preferred, with knowledge in plumbing
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing stock levels.
  • Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn about products and services to better assist customers.
  • A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role.
