Position Summary We're seeking a Private Money Lending Manager (Capital Relations) — a relationship-driven, detail-obsessed professional who knows how to turn capital strategy into funded reality. Ideal for someone who knows the private-lending world from the inside — whether you've managed lender relationships or originated deals — and are ready to bring that energy into an integrated, high-performance Capital Markets team.

This isn't a commission-based broker role. It's a strategic seat inside our Capital Markets engine — where capital relationships, structured deals, and disciplined execution come together. You'll work directly with our Founder & Head of Capital Markets and Executive Director, Capital Operations to manage lender relationships, coordinate loan pipelines, and drive projects from idea to funded with precision.

This position is based in Eagle, Idaho.

Key Responsibilities:

Capital Relationship Management

  • Develop, manage, and strengthen relationships with private lenders, funds, and strategic capital partners.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Cedar & Sage leadership and key lending partners and others.

  • Represent Cedar & Sage with professionalism, integrity, and clarity in all capital-facing communications.

Deal Coordination & Execution

  • Manage the full loan pipeline from term sheet through closing.

  • Keep all internal and external stakeholders aligned, informed, and accountable.

  • Identify potential obstacles and resolve issues proactively to ensure timely closings.

Strategic Structuring Support

  • Partner with the Executive Director, Capital Operations to align funding strategies with project needs.

  • Evaluate loan programs, terms, and partners for best fit and risk alignment.

  • Provide sound judgment and discernment on which capital solutions best serve both the lender and the project.

Due Diligence & Compliance Oversight

  • Organize, track, and deliver due diligence materials to private lenders and funding partners.

  • Ensure all transactions meet company standards, lender criteria, and regulatory requirements.

Pipeline Intelligence & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate capital dashboards, funding logs, and performance metrics.

  • Prepare weekly updates for the Capital Markets team and executive leadership.

Market Awareness

  • Track private-lending market trends, interest rates, and program changes.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to guide capital strategy and relationship expansion.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in private or commercial real estate lending, loan operations, or capital relationship management.

  • Proven experience working within or alongside private money lenders, construction financiers, or CRE debt shops.

  • Solid understanding of loan structuring, underwriting principles, and draw management.

  • Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Highly organized, self-directed, and effective under pressure.

  • Strong discernment and follow-through — you know when to push, when to pause, and how to close cleanly.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
