General Description
The Plant Technician can move to any job in the plant, they are not hired for any one specific operation. The Plant Technician will be properly trained before performing any operation by Co. Lifting requirements are up to 55 lbs when required from floor height to chest height. The Plant Technician will have a "home" department and Supervisor whom they will report to at the beginning of their shift but may at times be required to move to where the work is as necessary to maintain continuous flow manufacturing. All safety equipment (PPE) for the trained operation will be supplied to the Plant Technician by Co. The employee is required to wear full leather steel-toed safety shoes and safety glasses with side shields in all areas of the plant.
Typical duties can include:
1). Wax injection / Assembly
2). Robotic shell dipping/autoclaving
3). General foundry work
4). Shell removal (knock-out), Casting removal (cut-off, cold-break)
5). Casting Grinding (Hand / CNC Grinder)
6). Sand or Shot Blasting (Hand / Automated)
7). Casting Inspection, Deburring, Straightening, Welding, Shipping – Receiving
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
No prior work experience is required as Co. will train the Plant Technician on all required job functions.
The Plant Technician must be able to read and understand written instructions in English.
The Plant technician must be able to enter data on a computer data collection system
