Description

Title: Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Summary:

This role is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and campus structures. Execution excellence enables us to lead people in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by ensuring every person who attends our church has a remarkable guest experience.

It is preferable that church employees consistently attend worship service (virtually or physically) on a regular basis. By doing so, he/she will be more in touch with the life, activities, and patterns of Village Baptist Church.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand The Village Baptist Church's principles, programs and policies
  • Perform building HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting as necessary as well as minor fixes and repairs to the facility such as broken locks, damage to walls, etc.
  • Install necessary appliances and equipment as needed
  • Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and system issues
  • Collaborate with the team of workers and other professionals during renovations and facility expansions
  • Implement preventative maintenance measures and regular maintenance tasks
  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
  • Partner with building inspectors to ensure campuses meet all required regulations and guidelines
  • Accountable for executing weekly maintenance work detail, meeting project objectives & deadlines
  • Execute regular vehicle maintenance, upkeep, repair, registration and inspection.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws, codes and ordinances
  • Consistently walk with Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the facility is up to brand standards of excellence
  • Communicate with Maintenance Supervisor project status and completion timelines.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor
