We are looking for a Rotating equipment Millwright professional with Supervisory experience. Per diem included.
Job Summary:
The Rotating Equipment Millwright is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of rotating equipment used in oil and gas operations. This includes pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and other mechanical systems critical to production and processing facilities. The role ensures equipment reliability, safety compliance, and operational efficiency in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Alignment:
- Install and align rotating equipment according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Perform precision alignment using laser or dial indicators.
- Maintenance & Repair:
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, compressors, turbines, and related systems.
- Inspect components for wear, damage, and vibration issues; replace parts as needed.
- Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose mechanical failures and root causes using vibration analysis and other diagnostic tools.
- Recommend and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with reliability engineers, operations teams, and vendors to optimize equipment performance.
- Support shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency repairs as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade school in Millwright or Mechanical Maintenance preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in rotating equipment maintenance within oil & gas or heavy industrial environments.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in precision alignment, vibration analysis, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with API, ANSI, and OEM standards for rotating equipment.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to HSE protocols.
- Physical ability to work in confined spaces and harsh environments.
Preferred Certifications:
- Millwright Red Seal or equivalent
- API 686 (Machinery Installation and Alignment)
- OSHA or other safety certifications
Work Conditions:
- On-site work in oil & gas facilities.
- Exposure to high noise levels, rotating machinery, and hazardous materials.
- May require shift work, overtime, and travel for shutdowns or emergency repairs.
