Construction Superintendent

The Superintendent will oversee all on-site activities, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure each project is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Candidates must have a proven track record managing ground-up grocery or big-box retail builds and be open to regional travel.

Superintendent Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily field operations and enforce site safety, quality, and schedule
  • Supervise and coordinate all subcontractors and field staff
  • Conduct daily site meetings with project management and client representatives
  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy
  • Monitor schedule progress and identify potential issues early
  • Maintain site documentation, daily reports, and safety compliance

Superintendent Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years as Superintendent on ground-up commercial projects
  • Experience with Publix, grocery, or big-box retail builds strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of tilt-wall construction, site logistics, and scheduling
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with Procore, MS Project, or similar scheduling tools
  • OSHA-30 certification required (or ability to obtain)
  • Must be open to travel throughout the Southeast

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $90,000–$120,000 (DOE)
