Hot Tongue pizza is a fast paced slice shop serving Los Angeles style round and square pies. We make some of the best slices in LA and have the most fun doing it.

We're looking to add an experienced FOH team member. This person must have excellent communication skills, the ability to help lead our guests during a busy service, and the ability to make good decisions under pressure.

The right candidate should have a passion for all things pizza, a strong work ethic, and be willing to learn and take direction. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who is willing to take on any challenges that come their way and work well in both a team environment or on their own.

Job Summary

  • FOH team members are greeting customers, answering to inquiries, keeping the counter/tables clean and organized, having an extensive understanding of all menu items, taking phone calls, managing inventories, collecting payments, helping staff, stocking shelves, and informing customers on special offers.

General Accountabilities

  • Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food.
  • Takes customer orders properly
  • communicates orders to the cooks/ shift leaders on behalf of the patrons.
  • Serves customers their pre-ordered food.
  • Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
  • Totals bill and accepts payment
  • Clears or resets table
  • Thanks patrons and kindly invites them back for future dining.
  • Speaks with patrons to ensure satisfaction with food and service, or to respond to questions and complaints.
  • Maintains contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure that dining details are handled properly and customers' concerns are addressed.
  • Inspects dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
  • Informs patrons of establishment specialties and features.
  • Inspects restrooms for cleanliness and availability of supplies and cleansrestrooms when necessary.
