Compensation Range: $ per hour
Our client is seeking a temp-to-hire Production Artist to work fully onsite at their Norwalk, CT office. The production artist collaborates with internal marketing department team members to create, edit and release a high-volume of direct mail projects for monthly mail campaigns. Under the supervision of the Director of Creative Services, this role interacts directly with a variety of individuals across departments. Superior attention to detail, strong production skills, knowledge of print production and best practices for digital mechanical file set-up are keys to the success of this position.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with internal teams including Print Production and Campaign Management to execute design projects under tight deadlines.
- Create, review, edit and proof a high volume of partner collateral, while maintaining above-average accuracy and brand/file integrity.
- Respond quickly to high priority requests while maintaining production and design standards.
- Stay up-to-date with design software tools.
- Assist other designers as needed in order to ensure tight deadlines are met.
- Prepare InDesign files for digital and offset printing.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Advanced level skills using Adobe InDesign, PhotoShop and Illustrator (A test will be administered).
- Thorough understanding of the printing process plus knowledge of lasering for direct mail components.
- Experience creating and proofing InDesign files using the layers palette.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
- Superior organizational skills and proven ability to multi-task and successfully manage multiple, concurrent projects under tight deadlines.
