Your responsibilities include assisting customers with product selections, managing transactions efficiently, and promoting our wide selection of beverages. Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance on a variety of liquor products, including spirits, wines, and beers
  • Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts
  • Conduct product demos and tastings when permitted, highlighting features and encouraging sales through upselling techniques
  • Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are well-stocked and organized according to store standards
  • Assist with stocking inventory, receiving deliveries, and managing stock levels to ensure product availability
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, store policies, and promotions with clear communication skills
  • Promote store specials and upsell complementary items to maximize sales opportunities
  • Uphold phone etiquette when handling inquiries or reservations over the phone in a professional manner

Qualifications

  • Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus for leadership roles
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
  • Strong communication skills; bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases
  • Knowledge of grocery store operations or experience in alcohol retail is advantageous
  • Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and inventory management efficiently
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
  • Basic understanding of retail math for sales transactions and inventory counts
  • Knowledge of Alcohol types is a plus
  • Will require lifting heavy boxes
