Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Designer / Sales Associate to join our team. This hybrid role blends design expertise with client-facing sales skills. The ideal candidate is both visually creative and business-minded—someone who can guide clients through the design process while cultivating relationships that drive sales and brand loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Project Development
- Create and present cabinetry design concepts that reflect clients' aesthetic preferences, lifestyle needs, and functional goals.
- Develop detailed design plans, elevations, and renderings using CAD or design software (e.g., AutoCAD, 2020 Design, SketchUp).
- Specify materials, finishes, hardware, and accessories to ensure alignment with project vision and budget.
- Collaborate with project managers, fabricators, and installers to ensure design integrity through production and installation.
Sales & Client Engagement
- Serve as a primary point of contact for showroom visitors and design clients, offering personalized consultations.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with homeowners, interior designers, builders, and architects.
- Prepare proposals, quotes, and contracts, guiding clients through the sales process from concept to completion.
- Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets.
Showroom & Brand Support
- Maintain an exceptional showroom experience that reflects our brand's luxury standards.
- Stay current on design trends, materials, and innovations in the cabinetry and interior design industries.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3+ years of experience in high-end kitchen, bath, or cabinetry design and/or luxury retail sales.
- Strong understanding of design principles, spatial planning, and cabinetry construction.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, 2020 Design, SketchUp, Revit, or similar).
- Proven ability to build rapport and close sales within a consultative selling environment.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
