Today the Sycuan Tribe governs its Reservation, owns and operates a Casino and a Golf Resort, and owns a number of other business ventures in the San Diego Region. Whether you work in our state-of-the-art Casino, our beautiful Resort, or become a staff member in our Tribal Government division, you will be part of the Sycuan family.Job Purpose:Provides guests and staff with a clean and orderly environmentJob Duties and Responsibilities:(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)Provides guests and staff with clean and orderly gaming and work environment by scrubbing floors, cleaning and dusting vents, ceiling tiles, walls, columns, lights, and light fixtures following established procedures.Ensures the cleanliness of casino and office carpets by vacuuming daily, chemically pre-treating spots, and running the hot water deep-cleaning machine on a monthly basis following established procedures.Maintains the deep-cleaning machinery by draining, cleaning, and airing out machinery after each use.Assists the Environmental Services Shift Supervisor by reporting the amounts of chemicals, equipment and supplies used, minimizing waste of product, and reporting any defective or damaged machinery and/or equipment.Job Specifications:Education and Experience:Essential:1 year experience with floor and carpet care equipment1 year of housekeeping and/or custodial experienceDesirable:· High School Diploma, High School Certificate of Completion, or GEDSkills and Knowledge:Essential:Working knowledge of deep-cleaning chemicalsAbility to use hot water dirt extractorsAbility to use power wash equipmentAbility to communicate effectively in the English languageAbility to read in the English languageAbility to stand and walk for up to ten hours at a timeAbility to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.Ability to reach, kneel and bendAbility to appear for work on timeAbility to complete formsAbility to interact effectively with team members and guestsAbility to maintain professionalism and composureAbility to understand and follow verbal directives and written directionsAbility to accept constructive criticismAbility to work in a smoking environmentAbility to work the graveyard shiftDesirable:Supervisory/Managerial Accountability:Direct: NoneIndirect: NoneIf you enjoy being part of a community dedicated to creating a memorable guest experience, we invite you to explore career opportunities with Sycuan and join our winning team
