What you'll do

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their inquiries and purchases.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling transactions with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate product features through engaging product demos that highlight their benefits to customers.
  • Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending complementary items.
  • Maintain a well-organized sales floor through effective merchandising and stocking practices.
  • Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance.
  • Ensure compliance with phone etiquette standards when addressing customer calls or inquiries.
  • Utilize basic math skills for cash handling and retail math tasks to ensure accurate financial transactions.

Basic qualifications

  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.

Preferred qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail sales or customer service roles.
  • Bilingual abilities to cater to a diverse customer base.
  • Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.
