Clinical Assessor

We are seeking a LMHP-R, LMHP-S, LCSW or LPC to join our dynamic team. The individual will work under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional to conduct a thorough and immediate assessment of behavioral health crisis and psychosocial needs, including screening for suicidal or homicidal risk. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn and grow in the field of mental health, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic/comprehensive needs assessments, assessing clients from multiple perspectives, including, psychological/emotional, social, academic, medical, behavioral, substance abuse, skills, strengths, barriers to economic self-sufficiency, treatment history, and others, and utilizing various assessment instruments.
- Generate a Service Authorization for each assessment completed.
- Generate Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and Crisis Education and Prevention Plans (CEPPs) for each assessment completed.
- Provide supervision and meet monthly with staff to provide clinical guidance, assess dynamics, and needs of each case, determine the appropriateness of strategies, and assess progress of service delivery and planning, as needed.
- Attend monthly staff meetings.
- Stay abreast of DMAS, DBHDS, and State policies and procedures.
- Keep current with knowledge, availability, quality of community resources and professional trends.
- Secondary oversight of clinical service delivery by providing direct and/or indirect supervision to Case Managers, as needed.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team and community-based partners.
- Provide crisis intervention as indicated.
- Monitor service quality outcomes.
Qualifications:
· Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field
· Current LPC, LCSW or LMHP-R/S licensure or eligibility for licensure in Virginia
· Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices
· Must have flexible and open availability to complete assessments
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
· Must be able to pass DBHDS criminal background check and Central Registry Checks
· Must clear criminal background and CPS registry checks.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: From $200.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 30 per week
