Job Title: Driver-Class A CDL

Location: Omaha, NE

Reports To: Yard Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to join our team.

This full-time position offers mostly local deliveries so you'll be home every night.

As the face of our company during deliveries, you will play a key role in providing exceptional service and representing our commitment to professionalism and customer satisfaction.

Purpose & Expectations

The Driver is responsible for servicing customers by delivering orders as received and striving to exceed expectations through excellent service.

This role requires strict compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and operational guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery Procedures
  • Review and secure all materials before departure.
  • Deliver loads as directed by dispatch or Yard Manager.
  • Communicate promptly about delays or delivery issues.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork and obtain required signatures.
  • Ensure proper placement of materials at job sites; call for clarification if needed.
  • Safety Procedures
  • Always act in a safe manner and exercise good judgment.
  • Submit to drug testing as required by company policy.
  • Report any accidents or property damage immediately.
  • Survey job sites for hazards and plan safe routes for unloading.
  • Vehicle Maintenance
  • Perform daily inspections and submit reports to Fleet Manager.
  • Complete fuel usage records as necessary.
  • Keep vehicles clean and presentable.
  • Inventory Management
  • Inspect materials during loading and verify quality of returned goods.
  • Reports & Records
  • Record mileage and maintain logbooks as required.
  • Keep all licenses and certifications current.
  • General Duties
  • Communicate issues promptly to Yard Manager or Dispatcher.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and follow company policies.
  • Represent the company professionally and courteously at all times.

Qualifications

  • Class A CDL License required
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials (up to 80–100 lbs) using proper techniques and equipment
  • Strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
