Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing interior design projects that align with client needs and aesthetic preferences. This role involves collaborating with clients, managing project timelines, and delivering innovative design solutions that enhance spaces. The Interior Designer will utilize a variety of design tools and software to create detailed plans and visualizations, ensuring seamless project execution from concept to completion.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive interior design concepts tailored to client specifications and project requirements
- Create detailed drawings and renderings using software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Prepare construction documents, including drafting plans, elevations, and specifications with Bluebeam and CAD tools
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and contracts to ensure timely delivery of projects
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and vendors to coordinate renovation, remodeling, lighting design, and construction activities
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, lighting fixtures, and furnishings that meet aesthetic and functional goals
- Conduct site visits to oversee installation processes and ensure design integrity during renovation or remodeling phases
- Present design proposals through visual presentations using Adobe Photoshop or other visualization tools
- Stay updated on industry trends in lighting sales, interior design innovations, and sustainable practices
Skills
- Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, Bluebeam, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office
- Strong portfolio showcasing your range of skillsets, talent and completed projects
- Strong presentation skills, both in assembly and in front of clients
- Strong technical skills, including but not limited to: furniture plans, InDesign presentations, specification documentation, plumbing, tile and cabinetry elevations, shop drawing review, etc.
- Strong understanding of scale in regards to space planning, furnishings and lighting selections to ensure a functional, comfortable and appropriate environment
- Excellent communication skills for client presentations and team collaboration
- Strong contributor to ideas and overall project vision
- Self-starter, organized and manages tasks and time
- Willingness to learn new programs and is able to adapt to Vivid's process
- Problem solving mentality
- Meticulous attention to detail needed for all stages in the project process
- Experience with 3D renderings is a plus
- General understanding of furniture, lighting and furnishing lines
- General understanding of project budgets
Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Interior Design, architecture or related field.
Professional certification (NCIDQ or CID) is a plus
