Job Summary

A specialty retailer of art products and supplies is seeking an experienced General Manager for their store location in Tampa. Opportunity to make an impact, with a company known for its creative culture. Early hours, no late nights

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily operations of the store, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Oversee inventory management, including purchasing, stocking, and inventory control.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to enhance team performance and employee orientation.
  • Implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
  • Manage payroll and bookkeeping tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Supervise staff performance, providing guidance and support to enhance productivity.
  • Maintain high standards of merchandising and store presentation.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Monitor sales metrics and retail math to optimize pricing strategies.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.

Skills

  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes positively.
  • Proficient in employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development processes.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for effective communication with diverse customers.
  • Experience in payroll management, bookkeeping, and cash handling procedures.
  • Demonstrated expertise in retail management, including shift management and team management.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations for efficient transaction processing.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
  • Strong organizational skills with effective time management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies to promote store initiatives effectively.

Pay: $70, $75,000.00 per year
