Job Description

As a Security Guard - Access Control - Weekdays in Dayton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in access control and security-related activities at a busy logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. You'll interact with staff and visitors, delivering excellent customer service while supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Control access to the facility by verifying credentials of individuals entering and/or exiting the location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and loading areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for logistics and distribution environments.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of shift activities, access logs, and incident reports as required by site-specific procedures.
• Communicate with Allied Universal management and site contacts regarding any observed security-related issues or incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
