Veterinary Receptionist

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries with professionalism
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with data entry tasks as needed
• Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail
• Coordinate with veterinary staff to ensure efficient patient flow and care
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized reception area

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer literacy
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures
• Experience with appointment scheduling software

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

• Proficiency in using office equipment, including telephones, fax machines, and printers
• Basic understanding of electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology and software

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
