About the Company:
Beginning in 1984 as a small farm supply and feed store owned by the Payne family, CountryMax has grown into one of western New York State's biggest success stories. CountryMax now operates 18 locations spanning from Buffalo to just north of Binghamton, and employs over 300 team members, a number that continues to grow each year. Over time the product offering as well as store size has increased dramatically- in addition to farm and feed supplies, CountryMax is now a one-stop shop for all lawn and garden products, pet supplies, small pets, clothing, and backyard wild bird feeding.
Position Summary:
The Part-Time Ecommerce Product Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the management and accuracy of the company's online product catalog and assisting with product returns processing. This position requires strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional and organized manner. The successful candidate will work closely with the ecommerce and operations teams to ensure product information is up to date, complete, and consistent across all digital platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create, update, and maintain product listings within the online catalog and company portfolio, ensuring all product data, descriptions, and images meet established standards
- Perform accurate and timely data entry across multiple ecommerce systems and internal databases
- Verify and maintain consistency of product information, pricing, and categorization across online platforms
- Assist in processing product returns and exchanges, ensuring proper documentation and communication with internal departments
- Identify and correct discrepancies or missing information within the catalog
- Coordinate with the ecommerce, operations, and customer service teams to support seamless online product management and return workflows
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance product data accuracy and catalog efficiency
- Perform additional related duties as assigned. At times, assisting the customer service team may be necessary
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Prior experience in ecommerce operations, data entry, or product catalog management preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar spreadsheet software
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle repetitive data tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability and meeting deadlines
Schedule and Work Environment:
- Part-time position, approximately 20–30 hours per week. Potential for full time based on performance. This is 100% an in-person role
- Professional office/ warehouse environment with collaboration across multiple departments and parties
- Work scheduled within standard business hours. Operational hours are Monday – Friday & Sunday, from 8:00am – 4:30pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
