Job Overview

The Assistant General Manager at the Inn at Blackstone plays a vital leadership role in overseeing daily hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and supporting the overall management team. Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance departments
  • Supervise staff performance, provide training, and support team development to ensure high standards of guest service
  • Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
  • Coordinate with departments to optimize revenue management strategies and maximize profitability
  • Oversee budgeting processes, financial reporting, and cost control measures
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety regulations, and industry standards
  • Handle night audit procedures and support front desk operations during peak times or staff shortages
  • Maintain effective communication through multi-line phone systems and uphold professional phone etiquette
  • Support human resources functions including hiring, onboarding, and employee relations
  • Promote a positive work environment that emphasizes teamwork and hospitality excellence

Skills

  • Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse guests effectively
  • Proven supervising experience within the hospitality or hotel management industry
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality management practices including revenue management and guest services
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff teams
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction
  • Experience in hotel management operations such as front desk management, night audit procedures, and resort services
  • Proficiency in hotel software systems and multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette
  • Solid understanding of budgeting processes and financial analysis within a hospitality setting
  • Ability to handle human resources functions effectively while fostering a positive work culture
  • Previous experience in a hotel or resort environment is preferred to ensure seamless operational oversight

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
