Job Summary

As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient movement of materials and products. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to load and unload goods, manage inventory, and assist in shipping and receiving processes. Your expertise in warehouse distribution and materials handling will contribute significantly to our team's success.

What you'll do

  • Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
  • Utilize RF scanners to track inventory levels and ensure accurate order picking.
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to maintain an organized workspace and adhere to safety protocols, including OSHA regulations.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments against purchase orders.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper mechanical functioning and report any issues promptly.
  • Participate in heavy lifting tasks as needed while adhering to safe lifting techniques.
  • Support the implementation of warehouse management systems for improved operational efficiency.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow and productivity within the warehouse.

Basic qualifications

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations or related fields 2 years +
  • Valid forklift certification with knowledge of heavy equipment operation.
  • Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety standards.
