Building Maintenance Technician
This position is responsible to assist in the day-to-day maintenance of several commercial properties located in the Hartford area. The technician will be expected to anticipate and respond to all the basic needs and requirements of both the tenants and ownership through working with the property manager.
Responsibilities
Report all HVAC items that require contracted repair to property manager.
Replacement of lamps and cleaning of light fixtures
Basic door hardware and lock repair
Perform basic grounds maintenance
Miscellaneous handyman work requiring the use of hand tools
Meeting vendors and contractors on behalf of the manager to obtain pricing bids as well other property needs
Work with property manager to purchase items necessary for the daily operation of the building from approved vendors/contractors
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial building experience
Strong communication skills are necessary for interaction with tenants, ownership and vendors
Knowledge in all aspects of basic building maintenance, including plumbing electrical, carpentry and painting
Job Type: Full-time
Projected Total Compensation: $ $32.00 per hour
