Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Assure product and process quality by developing product structures, assembly procedures/work instructions, test methods and test fixtures for manufacturing and test.
Initiate and coordinate engineering change orders related to manufacturing changes – e.g., new configurations, batch record improvements, etc.
- Assure product and process quality by examining process capabilities and confirming manufacturing processes for internal and external manufacturing IQ OQ PQ.
- Work with design, quality, and manufacturing/operations personnel to devise solutions to existing manufacturing problems. Generate rework plans.
- Confer with design engineering concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient and effective production methods.
- Confer with design engineering and operations staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Arrange for the purchase of manufacturing equipment, materials, or parts and evaluate them according to specifications and quality standards.
- Keep manufacturing equipment operational by coordinating/performing preventive maintenance.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B. A.) from fouryear college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Solid Works software and
Microsoft Office.
